1/48 Spitfire Mk IIa

May 1, 2015 · in Uncategorized · · 12 · 1.8K

I just competed this one today. This is the Mk I kit. I used the Ultracast Rotol spinner and prop and Ultracast Exhausts. PE was used for the seat armor. I used Uschi rigging thread for the first time for the IFF antenna wires and it was very easy to use and I recommend this stuff to anyone who dreads rigging antenna wires. The markings are from 303 (Polish) Squadron and from Xtradecals. Stencils are from Barracuda decals. I chose these markings after reading several books on 303 Sqn in the past year. The model is painted with Gunze Mr Color paint. I hope you like it.

  9. Great spit Geoffrey, I really enjoy it. And it's really cool that you got inspired by the Polish No. 303 Sqn. I'm from Poland, and we are very proud of what Polish pilots achieved during the Battle of Britain. Thanks for sharing.
