Hello, I am a former police officer from the Czech Republic. After 31 years I returned to building aircraft from the great war. My lifelong interest is history and WW1 pilots. I build 1:48 and occasionally 1:32 models. It's a big inspiration for me when I literally see works of art from other colleagues here.

Sopwith Triplane 1-48, Eduard, Flt Charles Dawson Booker, 8 Sqn. RNAS, 29 victories

This is my last rebuild from an old wreck by Eduardo. Next time I will only devote it to the new beautiful kits that I have in my stash. As usual, the wreck was taken apart, cleaned and reassembled with lots of missing details added. Motor [...]

Fokker D VI, Eduards, 1:48, Jasta 80b, Oblt. Hans Spiedel

Again a rebuild from an old wreck by Eduard. Here it could have turned out much better, but I no longer had the strength or desire for a better result. But it has to be enough for a happy birthday, because this type in 1:48 scale is [...]

Pfalz D XII, (early) Special Hobby, 1:48, Lt. Ludwig Maerchner, Jasta 77b

The kit from Special Hobby is again of decent quality, only the cockpit is made in a very simplified scheme. Also added details of the cockpit, part of the pipe in the opening of the radiator and a few other small things. Struts need to be [...]

Sopwith Pup, Eduard 1:48, flown Arnold Jacques Chadwick, 5 Sqn. RNAS, 11 victories

A few years ago I got two wrecks from a friend which his son hastily put together, a Sopwith Pup and a Sopwith Triplane from old Eduard. Due to the lack of these kits on the market and also because I was sorry to throw them away, I tried [...]

Fokker D VII (Alb. early), Eduard, 1:48, Ltn. d R Carl Degelow, Jasta 40s, 30 victories

This was a very easy going build with no major intricacies. In my opinion, one of the best kits of this type in its scale. I warmly recommend. I myself have three more kits ready to assemble. Pilot Carl Degelow was the last pilot to [...]

Fokker D.II, 1:32, Special Hobby, Lt. Fritz Grünzweig, Jasta 16

Fokker D. II, 1:32, Special Hobby, Lt. Fritz Grünzweig, Jasta 16. My first ever model built in 1:32. I didn't choose the simplest model to begin with. I made a few mistakes there and also dropped my model on the floor before finishing it [...]

Airco DH. 5, 1:48. Fenix, flown Cpt. Roy Williams, 41 Sqn. RFC

I've got a few models to finish, but until that's done I'm going to keep showing the planes I've built over the last year since I got back into modeling. DH. 5 from Fénix looks very good at first glance. Unfortunately, the very detailed [...]

Roland D VIa, Fly, 1:48, Ltn. Otto Kissenberth, Jasta 23b, 20 victories

I recently introduced Roland in the VIb version, so now I'm adding the VIa version. Similar construction to D VIb, only need to put a different engine and retrofit it a bit. Next, it is necessary to cut off the ailerons and install the [...]

Roland D. VIb, Fly, 1:48, Jasta 59, Oskar von Boenigk, 26 victories

This was my very first attempt at imitating a wooden fuselage. It was quite a comfortable building without any major intricacies. It is only necessary to refurbish the cockpit and a few details. Used turnbuckles from Eduard. This aircraft [...]

Hansa- Brandenburg W 29, 1:48, Flashback, Seemarine Warnemünde 1918

This was my very first WW1 aircraft built and also with floats. Built from the box, added only cockpit equipment, engine pipes and needle exhausts. Added compass and Parabelum machine gun. This machine was stationed at the naval base in [...]
