I have been modeling for 5 years now and recently got into high detail. I try to build well and fast and each kit is a different challenge but I can always (mostly) get good turnouts. I am part of the Gator Modelers Club in Gainesville, FL. My favorite subject is 1/48 WWII aircraft but I will throw a modern day plane or ship.
So I mentioned that I was building a Bf 109 and here it is. This is Revell Germany's Bf 109 K4. From the beginning of the kit I knew I wanted to have the plane all shot up and the pilot bailing out. I got the general I idea from Jack Mugan [...]
Hi all,
I know that I haven't been on here a long time. So I just got back from Thanksgiving holiday with this beauty (and a couple extra pounds:) that my uncle had had in his attic for a long time and had never decided to build it. The [...]

This is a German mid altitude interceptor that was brought in at the end of the war but to late to be effective. Hobby Boss' kit is a very nice rendition of this big plane. The kit has positional flaps, ailerons, and rudder. This is a very [...]
I built this little kit in preparation for a Wingnut Wings kit. It went together fairly well. It had some photo-etch parts (seat belts, wheel covers, guns) and they were nice. After putting the cockpit in I tried to cover-up the seam down [...]
This is Tamiya's P-51 and it was a joy to build. The kit came in clean gray molding and the second I got it I sat right down to it. I painted everything to what Tamiya told me to and then I spent three or four days super detailing the [...]
I built this kit a while ago and it was a test bed for battle damage. The kit was one I got from an auction and it was old, with lots of ejection-pin marks, but thankfully they were all on the inside. I used a soldering iron (not a hot [...]
