I currently work as a criminal investigator for the State of Texas Inspector General's Office. Prior to that I was with the Abilene, TX Police Department and was a Detective in the Fraud Unit and a member of the SWAT team. I primarily build 1/48 aircraft from WW II and Korea but will occasionally work in a modern jet.
This was a simple palate cleanser that was a fun little build straight from the box. The figure is from Verlinden.
This is the 1/48 AMP HO3S-1 Dragonfly. Its amost straight from the box but some added seatbelts. The figures are bashed together and the torsos modified from Luftwaffe pilot figures because the closest i could get to a Korean War Navy [...]
This is the AMT Tigercat with aftermarket cockpits, canopies, props, landing gear, and wheels. The figures were bashed together to make Korean War era Marine aviators.
This is the Hasegawa 1/48 F4U-5N Corsair. The cockpit is from Wolf Pack with an Eduard seat some added photo etched seat buckles with tape belts. The engine received a lead wire wiring harness. The elevators are from Pavla. The wing [...]

This is a nice kit but my problems started when I decided to put the Aires cockpit in it. It was not that great of an improvement to the kit parts and it was too wide. I sealed the fuselage and inserted it as a unit up through the wing [...]
This is a remake of a previous build of this aircraft that met an unfortunate demise. The figure was intact and matched the pose for Schiehs so I replaced the original Hasegawa build with the Eduard. This is pretty much box stock except [...]
I had all kinds of trouble with the fit of this kit...probably self-inflicted. This is not my best build. There are all kinds of mistakes on it. I used the Pavla cockpit and nose gear well. The cockpit opening is too small and that [...]
This is a Hurricane I flown by Robert Stanford-Tuck. I added elevators and wheels by Ultracast, Falcon rear canopy, a Yahu instrument panel, and a pilot figure bashed together from my parts box. Not happy with the snow base. Too [...]
This is an early Hasegawa boxing of the Mania Models Ki-27 from about 1977...I think. I put some Eduard details in the cockpit including a seat, belts, and instrument panel but since its so small I really didn't do much more there. The [...]
