I currently work as a criminal investigator for the State of Texas Inspector General's Office. Prior to that I was with the Abilene, TX Police Department and was a Detective in the Fraud Unit and a member of the SWAT team. I primarily build 1/48 aircraft from WW II and Korea but will occasionally work in a modern jet.
This is the 1/48 Yak-3 by Eduard. I put a Aerobonus pilot, Yahu instrument panel and Ultracast exhausts. The decals are from Begamot. Pilot is Marcel Albert from the Normandie-Nieman Group.
Here is my D.520. Its almost straight out of the box except exhaust stacks from ultra cast and a photoetch gunsight from Eduard. The pilot figure is from PJ Productions. Markings are a combination of masks and the god awful Tamiya [...]
I added a CMK interior and some wire to the engine and landing gear but that's about it. I am not sure who made the pilot's body but the head is from Reheat. This is my interpretation of Hiroyoshi Nishizawa's aircraft. This is a [...]
This was built primarily out of the box with an Ultracast seat added and the prop pieced together from a CMK 109E prop. The documentation is all over the place on this aircraft. I have seen it referred to as a B, C, and D in [...]
This Hellcat was flown by Texas pilot Arthur "Ray" Hawkins of VF-31 on the USS Cabot in September, 1944. I added an Obscureco cowl, Quickboost engine, and Squadron canopy. The pilot figure was bashed together from my parts [...]
This is the Hasegawa Bf 109G-6. I added a cockpit from Cooper Details, Instrument panel from Eduard, seat belts from Eduard, prop and spinner from Fusion, wheels from Cooper details. The paint is Tamiya mixed RLM 74/75/76 in the Erla [...]
This is the 1/48 Hasegawa Mk VIII Spitfire flown by Squadron Leader Lance Wade. Wade was from Texas and enlisted in the RAF in Canada. Being from Texas myself I like building planes flown by Texas pilots. I apologize to you Spitfire [...]
This is my Tamiya P-51B flown by Henry Brown of Dallas, TX. Upper camouflage is Tamiya RAF dark green and the inderside is Alclad aluminum for the metel parts and semi-gloss silver for the painted wings. The figure is from Ultracast. [...]
This project started out as a Bf 109G-2 flown by Theodor Weissenberger of JG 5. The theory was that it was originally a Trop with a 78/79 factory finish that had 70/white applied over it. I applied the 78/79 finish but when I really [...]
This is the Hasegawa Bf 109G-10 backdated to be a G-6 A/S. I sanded the bulges under the exhaust stacks and rescribed the panel lines. The G-6 oil cooler, Fusion prop, and G-6 fixed tail wheel were added. Paint is a Tamiya mix of RLM [...]
