Just caught up with your Walrus build. I hear this is a great kit. I’m looking forward to following your first biplane build. Judging by how fine your 110 turned out, you’ll breeze right thru this John.

I really need to build my 1/72 Walrus - so I'll be watching your project with interest! I would vote for wings unfolded - I like birds configured in the role they were designed for, which is to fly!

Great work John, it is amazing what primer shows up! I am sure you are going well on the remedial work and look forward to your next update!

    Thanks all for your feedback,

@airbum, @fiveten, @adrianstarling, luckily the ejector marks were only protruded. Scraping was sufficient to get rid of them and start with a clean canvas.
@eb801, still expecting a bit more hurdles than just a breeze thru.
@gkittinger, you convinced me and you are fully right, planes should be flying and they need wings for that, although this one can float as well. So it will be unfolded.

A quick update on the Walrus. Decision was made built it with its wings unfolded. I do have some ideas for some small scratchbuild parts. Have to see if and how I’m going to achieve that.

After removing the ejector marks the fuselage parts were primed. Some minor corrections were needed. After that the green interior color was applied.

Next parts for the interior were prepared to get their primer and paint as well.

Glad to see you chose wings unfolded. Shows off the Walrus better.

Coming along nicely, my friend @johnb!
As per our friend Eric above, I consider the unfolded wongs a good choice, showing off the Walrus.

That interior paint looks - well smooth is not the right word with all the stuff - right! Luckily I have two in my stash, so I can make one folded and one unfolded - but that will not happen in the near future, and I shall be able to use your log as a reference once I get started 🙂

@eb801, @fiveten, although some more space needs to be created on the shelf, I agree that it will show off the Walrus much better.

@airbum, as a 109er I can imagen that a Walrus is not the first one you choose to start with.

    Interior update,

Still a lot of work to be done but at least it gives an indication of what it will look like.

Looking at the build from our iModeler friend Giannis Asimakos @mfcg, I also decided to do some scratch work and add levers (not sure if this is the correct word) which control the rudder and the elevator. I want to attach cables to these levers which go along the fuselage towards the tail.

Right side of the fuselage dry fitted to see how it looks like.

These are my first ever scratch build parts (except for seatbelts) which I add to a model.

That interior looks like it was fun to paint. How much will be visible, do you think?
