man - Buckeyes are pulling me, yours is looking so good! Maybe I can manage along with my 109's (after the Beau and Chilean F-16 are done)...

It looked great already, but the touch-ups are improving it even more.
    Great improvements, Spiros @fiveten

I've never thought the Buckeye was attractive but you sure are really bringing me around, Spiros.
I like that color scheme you chose. Another winner about to emerge from your model hanger.

Looks good Spiros...The Hellenic markings really make a difference on this bird. The ones that I've seen so far have all sported the USN training colors so to see one like this makes a person do a double take.

Thanks Eric @eb801 and Doug @eydugstr!
Yes, the "Vietnam" camo looks good on the Buckeye!

    Time to wrap-up the Buckeye!

Matchbox provided no engine exhausts, so I cut suitable pieces of my sons' straw selection. I painted them Testors Burned Metal and superglued them into place:

The cockpit is almost ready, only missing two glass gunsights, as the HAF Buckeyes sported at both cockpit places:

Meanwhile, a lot of corrective touchups take place here and there, especially at the external faces of the tiptanks.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Simple but effective solution to create those exhausts, Spiros @fiveten
So you were able to convince your son that they are used for a good cause.
    Cockpit looks great.

What a great idea using your son's straw. I agree. Cockpit looks great and looks good with that "Vietnam era" camo.
Nice posting over at MM today.

Thank you my friends @johnb and @eb801.
Those straws come in many diameters and they are thin enough to look "scale", too!
Not to mention that they easilly fall into my usual "El Cheapo" attitude 🙂
Thanks for taking the time reading my article at MM, Eric!
