Bristol Beaufort mk.I Airfix 1/72

(link) This build was one of my fav, togeather with Airfix Wellington. All fits with only minor issues (main gear flaps need a little sanding in montage pins)! Very Fun Build! As usual I used aftermarket decals to make 489 RNZAF squadron, [...]

I almost got hooked: my experience with Amodel's gigantic Mi-22!

The Mi-6 "Hook" from Amodel is a real challenge in many respects. The fact that I have built two of them in parallel is directly related to this: solutions that have been found in one model should be given the chance to prove [...]

Martin AM-1 Mauler in 1/72

The latest addition to my collection of obscure Navy dive bombers is this 1/72 scale kit from A&A Models, the Martin AM-1 Mauler. Like the Douglas Destroyer in my previous article, this was another aircraft that was intended to [...]

Hello modeler friends, continuing my task to find and assemble the old kits that my father and I assembled in the past, (the first one I assembled was the Nakagima Gekko that I posted some time ago) the time has come for this Douglas P-70. [...]

The Toss Up: First Soviet Jets, MiG-9 and Yak-15

On April 24, 1946, both the MiG-9 and Yak-15 were ready to become the USSR's first jet aircraft. The MiG-9 flew first, allegedly on account of a lucky coin toss. Both jets made use of salvaged German engines; while the MiG-9 was a new [...]

De Havilland DH 82 Tiger Moth / Queen Bee - Raul Hrubisko - 1/72

Hi to all, I want to share the final photos of our latest project. The De Havilland DH 82 Tiger Moth series. My father made all of them while I was doing the research behind each model. As always we would like to thank all the people who [...]

The Mil Mi-6 ‘Hook’, a truly record-breaking giant!

The heavy transport helicopter presented here not only occupies a special place among Soviet designs, but also stands out among all rotorcraft designs of its time. From the time of its first flight in June 1957, this giant was the largest [...]
