TBF-1 Avenger Battle of Midway Diorama (1/48 Accurate Miniatures)
New Member and first post.
I got the inspiration to do this diorama from the Osprey Combat Aircraft #16 TBF/TBM Avenger Units of World War 2 by Barrett Tillman.
I based my model on the after-action report. Not only did I try to recreate [...]
TBF-1 Avenger 1:72
I bought this kit at a local arms fair. The box appeared very neat and new yet the kit was simply a rebox of an older academy kit. There was basically no detail for the interior(which is luckily hidden pretty well on the avenger). For what [...]

TBM-1C Avenger, VT-7 USS Hancock (1:48, Accurate Miniatures)

TBF Avenger at Midway
The Grumman TBF Avenger (designated TBM for aircraft manufactured by General Motors) was a torpedo bomber developed initially for the United States Navy and Marine Corps, and eventually used by several air and naval aviation services [...]
1/48 Accurate Miniatures TBF-1C with KMC wingfold
This kit had sat for about 5 years- possibly more, simply because I was intimidated by the KMC wingfold! The fuselage and wings were painted, and decalled, but I never took the kit to the completion phase of canopy, gear and weapons [...]
