1/72 Ertl Grumman F-14A Tomcat of VF-32 , Year of the Cat

September 28, 2017 in Aviation

One from the cheap seats. Ertl/AMT F-14A .After starting this I almost chucked it ! I think I’d rather have done the old Airfix or even Monogram kits. There is panel line detail but the fit is very poor, I think the Sword Cougar was an easier build. Decals are from an old Superscale sheet of VF-32 Swordsmen in the late 1980’s. I added a shot of post war Grumman Ironworks cats.

  5. Great work on that thing, Robert. I’ve seen those in the box and they are not very appealing. You get an A for results and an A for sticking with it!

  6. I think you did a great job Robert. The cat looks nice. I like the group with all the Grumman planes together, super!
