It always gets me stoked when I see something built from the old file stash. Those 1/48 Monogram kits still hold up well against their more modern counterparts. Nice work Joe, thought it was the Tamiya at first.
As prices keep going up, I head back to my stash. Usually I have a great time with it, and the memories are there. It's also neat applying techniques I've picked up over the years, and seeing a difference. The old kits are still a lot of fun !

I agree that Monogram holds up very well. Som of their later kits are hard to beat and the price definitely can' t be beat,

My favorites are the Monogram P-40, Hawker Typhoon, and the FW-190
