1/350 Jake by Tamiya

This is just for fun -- one of the float planes from the IJN Tone, an Aichi Jake. It took about 2 1/2 hours each to build the nine planes I had on the cruiser's after deck.

Now, I've acquired a PE set to add cockpits and under wing stores.

Oh my eyes . . .

  1. With big ole fingers like mine, I could never do this! looks great!

  2. How on earth did you manage to get those little lines on the rear stabilizers...?

  3. How about some interior shots, Mike?

  4. Oh Craig! You know I used a Tiny spray system with miniature painters.

Actually, they are decals, but the panel lines are a wash.

  5. I've lost bigger stuff to the carpet monster. Nice work.
