Tamiya Spitfire MkVB Trop 1/48
HI all, here's my latest.
Major Levine's Spitfire VB. Hope you like. Decal sheet said it was a VC, but upon doing research and talking with others, I was happy to see it was in fact a VB. No need for a new VC wing. π It's heavily weathered, due to the photos of the real airplane, showing this.
Thanks for looking,
Paul, in Australia
AWESOME Paul. Like your Spit. Motivation to build my Special Hobby Vb.
Thank you. Special hobby kit Is a great kit. I've dine heaps of their Kursk actually, my fav bejesus g the Martin Maryland. π
Great Spit on a great dio Paul. That this Mk.V is "b" is very good news, got the same decal sheet but have no "c". Is the source for that available ?
Well done ! π
Thank you. π I got it all from other modellers so will look up the details and post. π I was stoned when I find out.
I couldn't tell the difference between a 'b' or a 'c', but this looks good whatever it is. Very nice diorama and good looking Spitfire.
lol. Thank you. It's all about the guns. More or less...:)
That is so cool. How did you do the ground work?
Thank you. The ground work is a mixture of foam putty, railway ground textured sand but re painted . There are a few trees but not in shot. π
Nice job, Paul. A great looking vignette. Any plans for figures?
Thank you. It was originally an afv diorama. I just put the model on it, for atmosphere. I should get figures for it though. Good idea. π
Very interesting composition.
Best regards, Vlad.
Thank you. π
pretty cool diorama, and i love the weathering on your spitfire - great work!
Thank you. Painting and weathering is my favourite part.
Nicely presented, Paul...love the setting. Can't go wrong with anything Tamiya.
Very true. Tamiya is so easy. I like to do one in between my limited run kits. Next up, Classic Airframes Walrus... That'll be in between a few easy ones.
Nice looking diorama Paul.
Like the Me 109 in the background.
Thank you. That's a G2 trop. Old Hobbycraft kit. π
Very nice Paul. Spitfires always seem to look good in desert camouflage & yours proves it! Like your diorama too!
Excellent! I love those big chin Spits although the standard ones look more sleek. Bravo!
