A Messerschmitt 109 in Normandie

November 5, 2014 · in Aviation · · 30 · 2K

hello,

I decided to try to represent Bruno Fischer Messerschmitt 109-G6 during the Battle of Normandy in July 1944 near Evreux.
I had some difficulty with assembly and the quality of my painting. This arrangement almost fly into the trash until the last day. But finally I finished. Now I have to create a support for the place in my showcase.
Used enamel paint from Humbrol brands, Modelmaster and Aeromaster.
The decor is a mixture of several decals Eaglecalcs edition.
The pilot comes from Hasegawa Fw 190-D9.

  7. Nicely done all around Eric-I empathize with you as I've been working on the 1:32nd PCM Spitfire MK XIVc for over a year now...its been kicking my butt the whole time so when I get that "it's time for it to go against the wall" feeling, it goes back on the to be continued at a later date spot on my shelf. It's a good thing that you didn't trash it after all the good work you put into it.

  8. Looks great Eric. Paint work looks good to me.
