Monogram / Revell 1/48 Swift Boat
The Revell Swift Boat in 1/48th scale is a re-release ot the old Monogram kit. This kit, besides being in an odd scale (for me) seemed very “toy-like” in that a lot of the “detail” was molded on. There was no interior, so it mattered not that the doors/hatches weren’t optioned to be opened or closed, although most photos of the Swift Boat show them all open. The clear parts were a joy, as they all were glued in from the outside. All that aside, I had a good time building it, and a nice break from the usual.

You’ve made a good job of this, Joe. The result is much more ‘finished’ than your narrative suggests.

Can’t seem to keep you out of the water, Joe! Anyway, this is another well finished model from you, maybe it’s basic, but you’ve made it look good.

Nice build, I’ve seen these boats as a “O” gauge load on a flatcar. One of these days I’ll build mine as an offshore oil rig crew boat.

Nice build of a classic kit! I built it a couple of times as a kid, never looked this good though!
