1/48 Italeri/AM A-36A Apache
Hello Folks
This time I would like to present my March completed build. This was A-36 Apache from Italeri that is rebox of Accurate Miniatures kit. The build take me a year or so but not because the kit is woeful but I have long brakes working on different project. The build was basically straight out of box I only used some spare PE seat belts and resin exhausts. The kit goes together rather well considering that the plastic parts has some age, decals were very nice the conform well to the panel lines with a help of Micro Sol.
Plane was painted using mainly the Gnze paints for Neutral Grey and Olive Drab. Weathering was done using Clay Grime wash and some powders from Tamiya Weathering Sets. My kit represent the aircraft of:
USAAC Lt Bert Benear 526th FS, 86th FG Corsica 1944
Cheers and happy modeling
Michal
Nice build LIKE!
nice subject Michal - Allison engine Mustangs/Apaches are underrepresented - great job
Michal, really fine job on her. Agree the early Mustangs are not seen as often as its later desendants. It does have that "something" though.
Good it's still available, there was a time when you had to try(!) to convert a P-51B if you wanted an early Mustang. Not for the faint of heart.
Nicely finished and photographed, Michal...much better than the one I did some time back (and I have another one waiting...you've given me something to "build on", as it were).
Great early 'Stang.
Good looking build. I've got a 72 scale version of this (don't remember the kit brand) that I've got to get to...
What a sparkling build. Clean and crisp, it really defines the subject, and the photos are beautifully presented.
Very nicely done and a fine choice of markings and good photography too.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Nice portrayal of the APACHE ... very nice as well as the photography.
Very neat, are the stripes on the wings painted or are they decals?
Thanks Guys for nice comments on my build. Regarding stripes George they are painted using Tamiya XF-3 Flat Yellow. In the kit there are some decals for the stripes but I always choose paint them.
