Tank in the Box....Hobby Boss 1/35 Schneider
Howdy boys and girls it's been awhile, I have been building, just not a lot of finishing. Got this one done somehow. It's Hobby Boss's model of an early "tank", The French Schneider CA. For history and specs and such, go here

The kit went together OK, the suspension and tracks being the hard parts, and I had to do a fix on the main gun to seal up a gaping hole in the mount. Paint is a Model master enamel Navy Blue base, with other colors being Vallejo , brush applied. Vallejo Mud paste mixed with burnt umber created the Western Front mud, with some garden roots and barbed wire added. Top stowage is Value Gear and Micheal's.
Great looking build...excellent weathering, detailing and photography.
Bill, I really like tanks, especially the early stuff, and this is really cool. Being primarily an airplane builder, I admire you tank builders and the work that must go into these beast.
I can only imagine the noise level inside this, while the guns were going off ! Well done.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
The model and the work you have done on the weathering is just great Bill.
This model shouts out HISTORIC just by looking at it, one can only imagine what it will scream out in a well developed diorama, giving the tank the main focal point. Well done, even the photography is fine.
Great looking model, Bill.
Hey Bill. In making art out of dirt you come close to Joseph Beuys.
I love this dirty chain magic
Muddy hell Bill, a lovely job done on a rare tank.
Very cool tank! Love the colors, weird primitive shape, and you did an outstanding job on the weathering - love the roots, mud and barbed wire! Really helps you see it rumbling across no-man's land.
Great job, love the mud.
Bill, you could have hosed it off a little before taking all these nice photos.
Well I guess this is what you get after playing around in the back yard for a while... Just kidding,
Fantastic modeling Bill. Oh so nice!
California Steve
Great job on a unique vehicle. I'm tempted to do one in Spanish Civil War colors.
Very neat work, Bill, love the barbed wire. I know most of these early tanks are quite small, even in 1/35, so, just how big (or small) is it?
Thanks George, see the link above, there are pictures with guys on and around it. And tanks to all youse guys for the compliments.
Love it Bill! Great camo, fantastic detail and very realistic weathering. Very impressive.
Bill, I really like this old beast. Nice job!
