Brengun 1/72 scale Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb Floatplane
I just finished this for the Water Wings group build.
It's the Brengun kit with the brengun Photoetch set for the cockpit and the ladder on the side. I also took the exhaust and oil cooler from a sword spitfire kit. The paints are all xtracrylix. I also used Eduard Super Fabric seatbelts.
Nice build...a unique version not seen all that much (I like it).
Thank you, Craig. I've always thought it's an interesting airplane.
Looks good Ken, different and nicely done.
Thank you!
Nicely done, Ken. Great seat! LOVE the floatplanes, especially the Spit-floater. Now you need a picture of this one next to a picture of the Supermarine floatplane. Kind of a Father/Son thing. Two generations of awesome!
Thanks, I agree, that would look great!
Unique and superb finish.
Thank you!
Well done Ken, looks great.
Thanks a lot!
Great build, excellent seat detail.
Thank you!
Great build and finish. Looks excellent, especially in 1/72!
Thank you! It was interesting working with the tiny PE parts, for sure.
Something about the Spitfire on floats just looks "right". Maybe because of lineage with the Supermarine racer because a Beaver or Cessna on floats doesn't look this elegant!
I totally agree. The Spitfire is beautiful on floats.
Ken, not too many aircraft still look fast with floats attached, as this does !, Nice work on this little gem !
Wow, really good, beautiful finish.
