Hasegawa 1/48 Kit(the best i think) Aires cockpit
I used various tone of Alclad and no varnish at all so i dont loose the shiny finish
I hope you like it...
The finish and varying shades of metal look great! Although not Alclad, I've used MM metailzers and applied Future over the finish without losing any of the 'shine' as well. Nice job on the Starfighter, sir.
With extreme difficulty ahahah...i cut each one very closeand then i use Micro Set & Micro Sol especially the sol 6-7 times to each decal but be careful the decals have to be good quality.
First off, welcome aboard ! You will find this website to be very user friendly and the members are courteous.
Your F-104 looks very good. I really like how the natural metal finish turned out. Another nice touch is the pictures of the real planes... You even managed to get one of the actual plane yours is modeled after. Excellent work Sir !
The real ones looked pretty cool scooting along the countryside. I was fortunate enough to see two of them flying low above the trees in West Germany in '83. They had a pair of F-4 Phantoms flying with them at the time. That was a cool thing to see. I guess to each his own and we all have different tastes.
Dimitris, a great looking 104, "you got to love that Alclad stuff". This is a wonderful example of the best, "looks fast just sitting there !" airplane ever made. Nice work !

Thank you very much!
What is the MM ?
Dimitris, MM stands for Model Master. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Jeff...you apparently saw Dimitris' inquiry before I did - 'ppreciate the clarification for him.
I love those colors the enamels! But i cant find them in Greece anymore!
That's awesome! I love the early natural metal NATO F-104s. Nice work!
Thank you sir.
Very nice, Dimitris! I especially like the photos of real F-104s you included. Your different shades of the Alclad look like the real planes!
Thank you!
Great work, Dimitris.
May I ask how you managed to let the carrier film of the decals disappear without any varnish at all?
With extreme difficulty ahahah...i cut each one very closeand then i use Micro Set & Micro Sol especially the sol 6-7 times to each decal but be careful the decals have to be good quality.

Thank you so much it is very nice to be here!
Very nice, with qyuite realistic different shading. It's impossible to make an F-104 that doesn't look cool.
Oh, I don't know, TC...those West German ones with the fancy crosses on 'em don't do much for me. 🙁

Well...in THAT case, yeah - I agree. That WOULD be cool to witness (given the fact I've never SEEN an F-104 flying).
I live 35 km away from the airbase we use to had them...so they have me wake up many many times!
Sharp looking Starfighter!
Thank you!
I agree! Very nice 104. 🙂
Thank you
That is a lovely F-104. Great work!
Thank you
