1/48 Tamiya Fw-190A-3
Hello Folks
My latest completed build in 2016. This time Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-3 from Tamiya in 1/48 scale. Usually as Tamiya kit goes together with no problems.
I build my model for the aircraft that was flown by Hptm. Hans Hahn from JG2.
Kit Manufacturer: Tamiya 61037
Scale: 1/48
Type: Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-3
Extras used: Eduard Zoom Set, Eduard EX490 canopy mask, Master gun barrels and pitot tube
Paints and Colors used: Gunze H417 (RLM76), H68 (RLM74), H69 (RLM75), Tamiya XF-3 Flat Yellow and X-19 Smoke for exhaust and guns staining
That grau-grun on grey mottling is beautiful and catches the eye.I love the bulky A4 more than the langnase and you really got your weathering right.
I give you a gold medal for this one. Bravo !
Pristine build. The 190 is always a popular subject here.
Beautiful job. And I agree the A's beat the D's! Although 190s are just brilliant subjects all round. You've done justice to a great plane!
I forgot to add - great presentation - very nice photography!
Yeah...what they said, Michal...!
Very nice - another great clean build. I too prefer the chunkier A's to the D's - looks more muscular! Great job on the mottles - not always easy to get looking good.
Very nice work and a great result.
Good looking build
Well, someone has to say it; you guys are just wrong and the Dora is a far more beautiful airplane. There. Said it.
Having said that, this is a first class butcher bird, Michal. Amazing artwork.
My fave plane of all time is the 'D13' (Yellow 10), but those A's shade it overall. Anyway, I'd take them both over BF109s!
Hey, Paul.
I agree, the D13 is a classic bird. I think all of the Wurgers are amazing aircraft, but for me I think the Doras (and even more so the Ta 152) are just that more elegant. The A's are just out and out killers - powerful, pugnacious, fighting machines. I guess it's a matter of whether you are a pragmatist or aesthete, prefer form or function, Monroe or Hepburn.
Naw, the TA-152H is just a beaut. My vote.
So it's official, Bernard. Ta 152 H - best aircraft ever.
Michal, This a good example on how to take a blah color scheme and make it look nice, Well done !
Very nice. I'm doing this one as Faber's aircraft in British colours and markings
Beautiful, crisp, clean build. a real beauty.
Excellent job Michal
Wonderful... everything about it... 🙂
Yep, like the rest of the guys have already said, simply excellent, clean build. You've really made that mottle 'live'.
Ian.
The 190 doesn't do much for me generally, but that is a beautiful model. Such a nice, clean build.
