Modernized Missouri

As a new member on this forum, I would like to show you some of my works. This is the first piece, the USS Missouri. The kit started its “life” as a Tamiya New Yersey and the modification was not so hard as the two ships were almost identical after modernization. I upgraded the kit with JAG turrets, Tomahawk launchers and Gold Medal Models railings and radars. The water is Vallejo acrylic gel.

  1. Good overall impression, Sebestyen. I wondered what material you chose for the rigging. It looks substantial!

  2. Fantastic 1st post! That is a remarkable build. Love naval subjects myself. I really like everything you added to it and great job on the water.

  3. Nice job, my friend….I was never any good at “floaty things”. Good work, sir.

  4. An awesome build, and welcome!

  5. Nice looking model, good to have another ship modeller on board here, welcome to iModeler.

  6. Looks great. Can’t wait to see more builds. Welcome aboard (no pun intended).

  7. Very nice, I have been on the Missouri a couple of times as she is now at Pearl Harbor, I re-enlisted aboard her on our return home from Iraqi Freedom when I was on the Connie. Anyway, you did a great job, she is a magnificent ship and you captured her well, nicely done!

  8. Nicely done, and welcome to iModeler!

  9. Great ship! I especially like the water.

  10. Thank you all for your comments.
