1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18D VMFA (AW)-225 Vikings
This is the 1/48 Hasegawa 2 seater hornet. I used Gunze Acrylics and Alclad for paints. eduard p.e. And blackbox for cockpit. Decals were mixed Twobobs and Flying Leathernecks.

Stunning Hornet! A really beauty and masterpiece! I also like your photography. Really nice pictures great presentation. I really need to work on my picture taking so I take notice of this often. Love the Hornets and this is one of the best I have come across! Hope you win award for this one.

Good looking hornet.
It's amazing how old this kit is yet it is still the go to kit to build for a legacy Hornet. At least for me. Not a difficult build, with all the options now available for the Hase Hornet. This is one of the cleanest builds and unique markings for a Marine bird. Well done. With so many markings available for any one who still operates the Hornet you can build several squadrons. Great pics as well. Thanks for sharing Eric, well done.
Hasegawa really did a wonderful job making this quarter scale hornet. Who would have thought after a few decades it’s still the choice build for a lot of modelers. Thanks for the kind words Chuck.

Thanks Dirk. I try to buy other colors for the background. This one turned out like a nostalgic black & white photo because the hornet scheme was black, white & gray.
