1/700 IJN Yamashiro : The battle of Surigao Strait
The Japanese battleships Fuso and Yamashiro were attacked and sunk by the U.S. 7th Fleet in the Battle of Surigao Strait, 25 October 1944. Fuso was torpedoed by a U.S. Navy destroyers, and Yamashiro was shot down by U.S. 7th Fleet ships. Yamashiro is the last battleship to sink with the warship fleet's artillery firing.
I have so far produced several series of Leyte Gulf naval battles. Atago, Fuso and Yamashiro have been completed and will make additional Musashi, USS Johnston dioramas in the future.
With this, I will end my diorama, which is based on the Leyte Battle, and I will start making a diorama based on the Guadalcanal Sea and Pearl Harbor.
This sort of work takes a true artist such as yourself, sir...stunning!

Congratulations!
Cheers!

Another masterpiece. I believe that this battle was fought during the night? It’s a very eye catching effect, even though the sheer details are better seen with light exposure obviously. Those water towers from shells missing the target are very realistic to me.
Having written a history of this battle, I am really impressed with how you have brought it to life. Truly amazing work, sir!
that is impressive work
Always impressed by your work, this one really stands out.
A magnificent scene. I don't think it can get any better than this - outstanding.

An estimated 1,600 men dead. Its hard to comprehend. - Rest in Peace.
Always wonderful to see your work - so creative and as realistic as can be at scale! Excellent.
