AFV Club IDF M548 in 1/35

December 4, 2018 · in Armor · · 18 · 4K

Hi Everyone, here is my Afvclub in colors.

It's an ammunition cargo vehicle used by artillery units. We used to call it "Alfa". I choosed to build it without the cargo compartment cover, to let you see all the good things inside ?.

I added some spare parts from other kits and some scratch build because of many special IDF modifications.

All colors and weathering effects by Ammo Mig.

For the diorama I used Ammo Mig products with a little help from mother nature.

Have a great day!

  1. Really nice work, Allon. The finishes have a natural looking wear that adds to the convincing vignette.

    • Thank you, Rob!

      • I’ve done a few of these vignettes in my time, and so can appreciate the consideration that must be taken, not only as regards the execution of the presentation, but, also, in the choice of accouterments and the balance of the composition as a whole.

Your project is a good example for anyone wishing to undertake such a project.

My own humble opinion, of course.

        • Thank you so much, Rob, for you warm words! As an artillery man in the idf, during my service, I spent quite a time in these vehicles and I felt like building again my childhood room... hope you can understand what I mean ? thanks again!

  2. Beautifully done!

  3. A very nice result, a lot of realism in the execution.

  4. Outstanding, Allon! It looks like I could step right into the scene - it's so real!

  5. This is a great diorama, Allon. I love your work (clearly I’m not the only one) and always look forward to seeing a new project. Fantastic.

  6. Great work! Nice to see this type vehicle.

  7. Hi Allon,
Fantastic looking model with just the right amount of weathering without going overboard with it .
    Neat model .

  8. Hey Allon

Real nice diorama and well built and weathered M548. I retired from the US Army back in 2013, after 26 years of active duty, my job was ammunition, so this diorama was of particular interest to me. I liked the overall balance of the diorama. The only thing I did not see was M2 metal (50 cal cans) cans with the fuzes for the 155mm projectiles,(haha) I also must have missed the army ration boxes that soldiers always seemed to have on vehicles when in the field. Overall an excellent diorama/vehicle. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Cheers Till

P.S. In the future, You may want to add steel banding straps on the pallets of the 155mm, tape cut real thin works nicely.

  9. That's an outstanding build! Thanks for sharing this!
