Amt 1/48 P40N

December 10, 2018 · in Aviation · · 12 · 2.5K

A quick easy build after my Special Hobby Fiat Br20. P-40N-20 Cleopatra 111 flown by Wing Commander G Atherton 80 Squadron Noemfoor July 1944.
Very simple build. I almost didn't post cause it's nothing special but I enjoyed it, and it's another addition to my countries RAAF/RAN collection.

  1. You got my attention right away with the words P-40 !

Well done and I like it... These AMT P-40's build up into some respectable looking planes. Plus they are fun to build and will not break the bank when it comes time for a purchase. They can often be found for a bargain price at swap meets and shows...

Your N model looks fantastic. They're just so cool looking in this paint scheme.

  2. Very nice. Simple builds can always be used for interesting marking such as this

Paul … that one is what I call … A Blast from the Past. And what a beautiful one it is.
Really eye catching. Great one too see.

  4. I love it! I love those white tails!

  5. Nice job Paul, just completed two AMT P-40N's myself and posted them here. As you state they're quick and easy to build, therefore they can be fun. P-40's always look good with a white tail and your's turned out very well.

  6. Looks great! I think I built one of these AMT P-40's back before my conversion to 1/72... It wasn't as colorful as yours though.

  7. Very nice work, Paul. Those kits are a bargain that delivers.

  8. Great looking P-40!
