Superb... again! Derek!
What is amazing is the look of the completed models - all made of wood ( naturally) but with a very metallic look and feel!
When you get a minute it would be good to hear about your sanding, finishing, painting process Derek - super work.
Hi David, thanks for those kind words.Right I’ll start off with sanding.Corse sanding to get the right shape and any dents and bumps, then a not so corse paper to get rid of the rough feel, and finally wet and dry to get a smooth finish. I don’t use primer I brush paint on the bare wood. Two coats are quite enough.Rivits are spots of glue using a tooth pick. I tried using a wash, but it doesn’t work on wood so Mig powder for weathering.Regards Derek.
I am impressed.
Thanks Lukasz.
