Takom’s New Kit Announcements
With the Nuremberg Toy Fair in full swing, 'tis the time for manufacturers to let us have a peek at what's coming. And Takom does not disappoint with their previews of 1/35 vehicles...
The Bergepanzer 2 is an armored recovery vehicle based on the Leopard 1 and used by the German Bundeswehr as well as a dozen other countries, from Brasil to Denmark to Canada. Until now the only Bergepanzer 2 available in 1/35 is a resin kit, so this release will be welcomed by many.
The M46 was a development of the M26 medium tank and saw service in the Korean War. Superseded by the M47 Patton, it has always been a bit of a stepchild in 1/35, with only an almost-ancient kit from Dragon on the market.
Oh, by the way, this one would make the perfect entry for the suggested "Teeth & Fangs" Group build (https://imodeler.com/2019/01/gb-idea-teeth-fangs/)
Finally, a whole slew of Panthers is going to be released. I guess we can't do without them...
Boris, your suggestion to the Teeth & Fangs GB echoes Louis 1st choice, though not the Takom kit obviously 😉
P.S. just a thought- I guess the Panther tank is to armour what the Spitfire is to propellers...they keep coming in waves
