1/48 Loire-Nieuport 40, “French Stuka”
Special Hobby kit of the LN 40 from Flight training School at St.Raphael summer 1942. The French designer of this aircraft, M. Pillon, actually faced charges by the Germans that his work was based on the Ju-87 by espionage. There are two major problems with this kit that need correction. The shape of the cockpit opening is rectangular and should be oval and the canopy hood is grossly undersized. Correcting the canopy opening is easy the canopy hood is a little more difficult. My old Mattel vac-form machine came in handy once again! Vichy, wing and rudder stripes masked and painted.
Excellent subject, Dale. I like stuff like this.
Very very cool
Unusual A/C Dale, never seen this one before. Nice job.
That's one you don't see often, and when you do, it's not as nice as this one is.
Great job on a tough kit. I love SH too tho.
Well done ?
Thanks everyone for the comments
Excellent! A great job on an aircraft I don't know that I've heard of.
