Trumpeter BTR-40 in IDF colors
Hi guys, here is my Russian armored vehicle BTR-40, in IDF colors. A few dozens of these vehicles were taken from the Egyptian army by the IDF during operations and wars, and they were called in the IDF: Bambino.
The kit by Trumpeter in 1/35 scale, is an excellent one – very accurate and well detailed. I needed to scratch build all the modifications for the IDF version and used Ammo mig colors and weathering effects.
Base IDF color is A-Mig 066.

Very nice model, beautiful detail, and amazing attention to detail. It’s interesting how the Israelis used what they could from captured equipment
