Monogram 1/48 Consolidated B-24D Liberator “Moby Dick”
Hello! I present a new … although no, the old one, the model from Monogram is the B-24 Liberator. Although the model is 36 years old, but she looks pretty good, she got together well. I had to suffer a little with decals. And in general, if you look at the model from afar, it makes a very good impression)))
Pleasant viewing!

Hello Maxim…Nice job on a classic Monogram bomber…you did the ole girl proud with your fine modeling skills. One of the best builds I’ve seen of that kit. My congratulations.

Nicely done! I really like your distressed panel lines, especially on top of the engines and on the mouth (left side). Very convincing. Great color modulation too.

Wow, this is an amazing B-24! The OD painting and it’s weathering is very realistic, at minimum very convincing to the eye. Got to mention also that build looks very solid, flawless. Are the decals from the box?
Maxim Bylkin said on August 17, 2019
Thank! Yes, the decals out of the box, and had to work for a long time with them. But they are very durable and did not tear))

Well done Maxim, super job all around.

Really well done. I have always liked these big Monogram kits. I know what you mean about the decals. Unresponsive to most chemicals known to mankind and therefore very durable. You did well to get them to settle down onto the surface that well.

Very convincing result!

Really nice job on this kit, Maxim. Old Monogram and Revell kits are still fun to build and will give you a nice model if you take a little care with the build. Your paint and weathering look really good. I usually try to replace the decals, but sometimes they are tough to replace.
Maxim Bylkin said on August 18, 2019
Yes, the old kits are good for everyone, except for one – you need to spend a little more time. A little bit )))

Really nice Maxim! In the right hands – like yours – that old warhorse can definitely look good.

Some strong work on a Monogram Classic that is deserving of being on the “Model of the Month ” list. I really like that first photo in the series it really gives the look and feel of the B-24. Nothing over done or over stated.

That is very nice indeed! I love those old Monogram kits and have built a number of them my self. I even vacuformed my own nose to convert the J to a D model. Your model inspires me to do another. Beautiful job with a very nice finish.

Hello Maxim,
Monogram, even if it is 36 years old, still the best around.
What did surprise me, was the fact that you used the old decals.
Now than the result is incredible. Good job on this old workhorse.
It looks like a real powerhouse.
Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.
Maxim Bylkin said on August 23, 2019
Thanks Dirk! Yes, I had to use old decals, and it was not easy. There was simply no time to look for new ones;)
