A second Mustang ridden: Thoroughbred in British colors

October 13, 2019 · in Aviation · · 11 · 1.4K

Parallel to "Scooter´s Skeeter" I made a second Mustang out of the same kit. This time with retracted landing gear -and completely out of the box.
Turning props have been simulated by transparent sheet and airbrush, decals are from the box.
Of course there have been some improvements, sand paper and putty have been my faithful companions - finally this thoroughbred can join his colleague.

However, I may say: two Mustangs from this 1:24 herd are enough for a modelers lifespan! 🙂

  4. Wow, very impressive model. The spinning props illusion is remarkably well done, looks real to me. I will try your method on 1/48 sometime. Congratulations Roland, a great build and a stunning presentation

Nice overall work on this Mustang , Roland. The colors alone make this a very unique build … but to be honest … I am enjoying the figure, I just love the addition of pilot figures, it gives one a sense of scale and this one has good details … nice work.

  9. Another nice Mustang. Man - with all that yellow, it's almost blinding!
