NB-52 with X-15, Atlantis
This is Atlantis models reissue of the old Revell 1/174 kit. Not to much detail, there never was, but they did provide two types of stands and improved the decals. You can also choose to use the external fuel tanks for a SAC version, ala Dr. Strangelove, but no decals are included for that one.
This is NB-52 520003 other wise known as 'balls three', around 1961. I did add a couple of camera observation blisters to the fuselage.
Sublime and very clean, Robert, Nice work.
Beautiful work Robert ! I remember building that very kit, but I painted mine in the SE Asia camouflage scheme.

Nice! I love vintage kits, so glad Atlantis has ramped up production!
Great post! Brings back memories of this kit being the first one ever I built myself in the early 80-ies! Liked!

Great to see the X-15 tucked under the wing of the NB-52 - Nice work Rob!
Nice work! Brings back an era of exploring the envelop possibilities of aircraft and space flight.
fantastic nostalgia build bob
I made this kit when I was fourteen. Only 43 years ago... I remember the aluminium painting whit brush. Not bad for my skill. This model back me to the past. Thank’s for sharing
