Curtiss Hawk 75N 1/48
Medallion Models resin kit circa 1990 or so. This is still the most accurate kit of the P-36/Hawk75 in this scale. This model represents an aircraft from the Royal Thai Air Force, 85th Wing, Dom Muang 1944.
As one can see this is an old tech kit by looking at the deep and wide panel lines. Even with this old tech design I think this model is clearly superior to the Hobbycraft kit.
Excellent build and paint scheme. Medallion models did good things. I used their P-40E to N conversion a long time ago to convert the Arii E to an N before Mauve or anyone else did an N. It even had the offset of the tail section correct.
Thanks Haslam. I've got 3 more Medallion P-36's in the stash so i"ll be doing more.
Didn't need to look at the name to know who built this model. As usual your excellent presentations proceed you Dale. Nicely done.
Thanks so much Tom. Glad you like it.
Wow, nice work. I was just looking at the Hobbycraft kit of this plane in my stash last night.
Thanks John. If you can find one of these on EBAY pick it up. It's faf more accurate than the Hobbycraft.
Having built one of Chris' Medallion Models P-36s myself, you are right, Dale, that it's the best out there in this scale. A "garage kit" that was first class.
And some first-class work on this, too. Beautiful result.
Thanks Tom. I agree Medallion did some of the best resin kits back then. I recently did the He 100 which I'll post some time.
This is a beautiful build! Love the colour scheme.
Really glad you like it Robert!
beautiful
Thanks Bob!
Excellent build! I have an Oscar to do in Thai markings - I love the unusual subjects...
Thanks Greg, so do I.
This is another winner here Dale... I could tell right away you built this one. It's perfect.

Really glad you like it Louis, thanks!
