Nice work on that. It was the only thing available in 1/48 for many years. The Gavia kit (also boxed by Hasegawa and Eduard) is a lot better but has an anorexic rear canopy section.
Looks like a very nice result regarding your work, but the best you can say about the kit as to what's in the box is "It's La-7-ish." They tried too hard to do La-5 and La-7 releases with too few differences.
I think anyone with any knowledge of the La-7 realizes the HC effort has more than a fair share of issues. However, from a modeler’s and observer’s perspective, when the skill of the modeler renders a well done, finely crafted and finished example such as this one, the effect can truly be appreciated. It looks like what it purports to be. What an excellent example of the colors and markings of one of Russia’s premier fighters. Personally, I really like it. Congrats.
