AMT 1/24 1966 Buick Riveria
Hi all,
I finished this kit last night – it went together very easily taking only 5 evenings.
I used Zero Paints 2K Primer, Zero Paints Porsche Ipanema Blue, Gravity Colors 2K Clear and Spaz Stix Ultimate Mirror Chrome.
All my models can be viewed here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/albums/72157603606379755

Lovely Riviera, Richard. I’d love to have one just like yours.

Nothing like Detroit iron. Neighbor had one of these in gray and let their son drive it on occasion. He was a good friend of mine and we often used it on double dates. Went really fast when you punched it. Nice job Richard.

Thanks. Those old giants were awesome. My dad had a 197? Chrysler Newport – not so sporty looking but it had a 440 4 barrel with air shocks for towing a trailer. I learned to drive on that beast – we could fit a lot of kids in it and it always stayed level due to the air shocks. It could peel-out in snow tires too.

Nice work, Richard. I’m a Buick guy and love early Rivs!

Marvelous model. Especially all those never-done-again paint colors. Definitely “takes me back.”
