Gloster Gladiator Mk.I Hellenic Air Force 1938

February 28, 2020 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.4K

It's an kit. It is a very good kit with the exelent fit, enough detail for anyone who wants to make a OOB. On the contrary, the decals had a big problem, since they were dissolved in water. Fortunately from the beginning I had the intention of making a Hellenic aircraft with my own decals. These were designed on a PC and printed on a laser printer. There have been some improvements to the cockpit and engine. The hoods were vacformed into plastic film using the kit hood as a mold.

  1. Giannis, this is BEAUTIFULLY built, rigged, and painted/finished! Outstanding work, Sir!

It's a real pleasure to see ... and your photography is very well done, too.

  2. Poli Orea! Very nice paint scheme and colors. How did you print the white in the Greek ensign? Did you paint the background white first? Well done!

  3. That is very nice and different

  4. Excellent work Glannis. I like it.

  5. Great cockpit and engine scratch work.

  6. That is a beautiful build. Well done

  7. Giannis @mfcg, what's left to be said that has not already been stated? You have really shown off your skill set here. A very impressive build!

  8. I am glad you liked my Gladiator. Thank you for your kind words. It was really a pleasant build.

  9. Giannis - That's a lovely interpretation of the Roden kit. I made one some years back that operated in France during the Battle for France in 1940 (Blackadder goes to war) but yours puts mine to shame. Lovely silver finish! Paul.

  10. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Clean and sharp work on this model Giannis, lovely silver paint work applied.
Very nice work on the cockpit. The rigging is very well done as well as the slight and yet very convincing weathering.

  11. I think this kit is great (built three and have one still to do) and you have very definitely made the most of what was in the box. This is a beautiful model!

I love we have all you "Small Air Forces" members to educate the rest of us on the many possibilities for models.

  12. Simply stunning - well done!
