Tamiya 1:48 F2A-2/Model 339D Buffalo
F2A - Dutch East Indies Model 339D captured by the Japanese in March '42 and tested at the Tachikawa Army Air Force base in Japan. Another in my growing fleet of "Captured"/Odd ball schemes. Did this back in my brush painting days. Not much recollection of the build which means it went together well. Painted with Tamiya and decals from the stash
Great work , really like this in Japanese markings.
Thank you Dale
Although this is done with brushes, it looks very pretty.
My brush planes in the early days were not that great as yours.
Thanks
A fun twist on the Buffalo! Captured warbirds are odd-looking ducks. Well done.
Appreciated Greg
A good old Tamiya kit. Interesting painting scheme, and nicely done, George!
Thank You Dmitry
Nice work, George. That’s a fun kit.
Thanks John
Nicely done! Your brushed paint looks better then some of my spray jobs!
Thanks kindly Robert
That's a great model, George. Nicely put together, superb brush painted and decalled of a unique scheme, looking "natural". I love Tamiya Buffalo's and love this special scheme Buffalo even more!
Thanks Spiros .I wish I had know about Rising Decals sheet for this aircraft. Tail markings for the Buffalo and markings for four other aircraft
Pretty nice finish for a brush job.
Thank you
Nice work George! The markings look great as does the paint job.
Many thanks Clark
