Avia CS-199

June 13, 2020 · in Aviation · · 9 · 2.5K

Following my friend Dennis's lead, I'm working on shrinking the stash with monthly “no-frills” builds: out of the box, no major mods, minimal weathering, etc. My May “NFB” is this KoPro CS-199. Not a lot of detail in the interior, which is okay because the canopy is not crystal clear but, the fit was very good; I needed very little putty on this one. The decals were very old and brittle but, I got them on. All-in-all I really enjoyed this build and think it looks pretty cool, especially from about 2-3 feet.

  2. That's a lovely build, Scott!
OOB, nicely put together, painted and finished in a great way.

  3. Everything needs to be judged in its proper context...given the kits age and the manufacture you can appreciate it. I like it Scott. Its informative and sheds light on 109's career after the war. Given the types history of landing accidents or crashes I guess it makes sense to have a trainer.

    Two thumbs up.

  4. Nice build, Scott.
Learning each time on imodeler, I didn't know there were even trainer versions of the 109.

  5. Tidy build. Sometimes a quick build is a good build. Getting bogged down with the details can spoil the fun.

  6. Looks good Scott.

  7. Nice job Scott.

  8. Tidy build - looks great! I'm leaning on most of my builds becoming "simpler!"
