Airfix 1/72 A-4B Skyhawk, VA-15 Valions, USS Intrepid, Tonkin Gulf 1967
Hi all,
I posted pictures of this model before, but since I've added the display stand, so I figured that now it's really finished I'd post some pics of the final result. The Airfix kit was an easy build and a cheap one. I spent more on paints and canopy masks than on the actual model 😉
Still, it was a more than welcome break from some way more involved projects that I'm working on.
Wow, that fuzzy ground is making me feel airsick! Cool effect, though. Guess your experience of paying less for model than all extra is a common one these days.
Hi Stellan,
I know how you feel! The blurred base is from Coastal Kits, browsing their site can make your head spin!
Great presentation of this Scooter! Liked!
Thanks Michel!
Great looking model and an amazing base stand. It certainly achieves the desired result.
Thank you!
The Hot Rod looks hot!
Thanks!
Nicely done Jay.
Thank you Allan.
I got the need...the need for speed! Cool build!
Thanks!
This background suites the Skyhawk for sure, Jay.
Thank you John.

Not much A-4B's seen, and this one just stands out Jay. Very nice work.
Thank you sir!
Nice background and a nice model indeed, Jay.
Thank you!
Nice work. Airfix really got the nose shape right on this “B” model.
Thanks! I was very pleasantly surprised by this kit.
That display base really sets off this speedy Scooter! Looks fantastic.
Thanks Greg!
