P-51D Tamiya 1/32 Scale All metal skin! "Tattie Bus"
This article is part of a series:
Well here she is! This will be my last metal skin build for a while! Such a pain to do this technique lol.
This is the 1/32 scale Tamiya kit, nice kit, few fit issues but nothing really bad. The metal is the difficult part, hand cutting all the panels and adding all the rivet detail is a royal pain.
I am pretty happy with the finished build. Now onto something that requires no metal!
WOW!
Thanks Dan!
Iโll second that: WOW!
What a beauty! Your effort sure paid off. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Thiago ๐
Make that three.
Thank you sir ?

Very outstanding work Rick.
Thank you!
I do understand that you are happy with the finish of your build, Rick.
It just looks great on every piece of the build.
Well done.
Thank you John.
Stunning! I can see why you wouldn't want to do this all the time but I think the result here is well worth all the effort. Congratulations Rick, she's a beauty!
Thank you, itโs not fun while you are doing it, it itโs worth it in the end ?
This is a work of art - again - Rick!
Stunning indeed.
You said you would stop (at least taking a long break) metal skinning after the first Starfighter, but you didn't.
Please don't stop! These are masterpieces!
Thanks my friend! I think 3 metal builds in a row is enough for awhile ? Next I will be doing a car...NO METAL...lol
She's Stunning...and the model is great, too. ALL good.
Thanks for the good vibes Bob!
Lovely! Being Scottish a Tattie Bus has a particular appeal.
Itโs named after a Scottish friend of mine ?
Unbelievably amazing Rick.
Cheers,
Scott
Thank you Scott!
