August 13, 1940, the Battle of Britain took place, here you can see two Models, a Messerschmitt by Kommodore Adolf Galland and the Spitfire by Pilot Off A.S.C Lumsden Ibsley AB.

Splendid models, nice effect with the crew but in the scene.
The human aspect is well depicted by the figure modelling, I think we tend to forget that what to us as modelled may be a satisfying exercise in polystrene, was a matter of life and death in metal to the people who were there.
