Hitachi Vibratory Combined Roller ZC50C-5

January 19, 2021 · in Automotive · · 41 · 2K

So far, so good. This is the Hitachi Vibratory Combined Roller ZC50C-5 from Hasegawa. Almost done with it. I still have to add the side amber lights to the unit. As I mentioned before, this is he second vehicle that will be on my current diorama, that I am working on. I still have a little weathering left to do on it before it will be done. The diorama itself is almost complete, but I am still working on the figures (not my best attribute, but it is necessary, in order for the diorama to work well).

  1. Absolutely outstanding work, Charles. I'm around a lot of equipment; this certainly looks the part.

  2. Very impressive work, unique subject.

  3. Ain't no way it's a model built by a human. Just gotta be a 1x1 rollin' blacktop on your driveway.

Absolutely an amazing piece of art, Charles. You're a master.

    • Hehe! Thank you Bob. Glad you approve of this model. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Wish I could just use a ray gun to shrink the real one. It would make my life a bit easier. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Wow, Just another Jem in the Jewel Case of Charles King Builds!

  5. Amazing work, Charles!
As usual, it's hard to tell if it's the real thing or not!

  7. Fabulous work Charles, I look forward to seeing the completed diorama soon!

  8. Very nicely done! It reminds me of the episode of Malcom in the Middle when Hal had the steamroller obsession!

  9. What I love about your modeling is that you model from every day life, and not from an historical pursuit. This is a small and special niche in the modeling world.

  10. Man that is great!

  11. Rock 'n' roller, keep them coming, Charles, can't wait to see the finished diorama.

  12. Awesome work Charles! Well done.

  13. Iโ€™m flattened by that roller. A real master work.

  14. Looked at all the fotos but did not hear the "beep, beep, beep" when shifted to reverse. Nice work. Looking forward to the dio...

  15. The level of realism is outstanding Charles.

  16. Definitely looks like a well used roller back from my construction project days.

  17. Well done! Thatโ€™s some of the best paint chipping that Iโ€™ve ever seen.

  18. I envy your ability to use a little paint and creativity to bring a model to such realistic levels!

  19. As always your weathering is spot on! Long live the King!

  20. Hello Charles,
Here is the answer to my question. In regards to the loading platform, asking for the articles used in your dio. Great build.
    Regards, Dirk

  21. Finally added the side amber signals and took some outside photos. It's incredible how small this model is in reality.
