Fieseler Fi-156 C-3 Storch – Tamiya 1/48
Built this wonderful kit in 2020. The building process was absolutely a joy, the kits engineering, the details, the smart solutions (metal wing holder for example) are the handmarks of Tamiya's 100th 1/48 aircraft model.
The camouflage was hand painted with a cheap chinese 0.3 airbrush. Used Mr. Aqueous Hobby and AK Real Colors.
That’s some fine work, Istvan. Great result, especially the camouflage!
Thank you Ben!
You made an incredible entrance with this Storch, Istvan @havrilistvan
Your paintwork is exceptional.
Welcome to this community, hope to see more of your work.
Thank you John, I try to meet the standards of the place 🙂
John’s right! Great airbrush and finish work. I managed to “freeze” this one because of poor information of the aircraft. Still looking for the a Storch that had a radio on the passenger back wall so I can finish mine
Thank you Pedro!
My Storch waited a long time in its box because of lack of information. Luftwaffe aircraft in Africa is still a black hole, hope you can finish yours!
The South African Airforce Museum has one and I have some pics. I might be able to get some info and pics as I know a few Pilots there
An amazing Storch, Istvan!
Welcome aboard!
Thank you Spiros!
Exceptionally well done Istvan! Great looking model with a cool paint job! 🙂
Thank you Gary!
Beautiful work Istvan. Great to see you join this great and supportive comunity.
Keep up the good work.
I do my best Bernard, thank you!
Fantastic build!
Thank you Michel!
Beautifully done!
Thank you Robert!
Absolutely Stunning! Beautiful build and a paint work. Very impressive paint work and weathering.
Thank you Walt! The weathering done with artistic oils. I forgot to mention it in the article.
Beautiful work; a very well done job. Inspirational.
Thank you Bill!
that is a fantastic looking model. The painting is superb, and I love the realism of the exhaust. Excellent!
Thank you Greg! I tell you a secret: the plan was to open up both sides of the Argus engine. Unfortunatelly I lost almost all the engine parts in the garden (long story). Found most of them, but only one exhaust was found. So there's no other exhaust under the hood 😉
Amazing skills! I remember seeing one fly at AFB Waterkloof in South Africa as they captured one in WW2.
You've really done justice to this classic kit, welcome to iModeler, definitely liked.
Welcome, Istvan! That looks great. Thanks for sharing. I have one to build in the near future.
Wow! Top shelf paint and weathering.
EXCELLENT!
G'day Istvan (@havrilistvan),
I love the paint scheme - you have a deft touch with the scribble.
I have one of these in the stash, but haven't decided on a scheme yet.
Yours is an inspiration, and very tempting...
