Dora Wings 1/72 Westland Lysander Mk III (SD)
Hi there,
This one was sitting in the stash for quite some time and I decided to go for it despite it probably being a bit more than my skill level could cope with.
A challenging kit that repays careful preparation and patience along with sanding and reshaping various parts.
It's been a really enjoyable build.
Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey
Painted with Colourcoats Night Bomber Black, Medium Sea Grey, Dark Green, Interior Grey Green, Tamiya Flat Aluminium and Rubber Black.
Finished with Windsor & Newton Matt and Satin Varnish.
Transfers from the Kit and DK Decals No.161 (SD) Sqn.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Alistair

Thanks Spiros,
It was a bit of a challenge but a lovely and rewarding kit to build.

Great build, Alistair.
I had the chance to see a restored one in real and I was surprised about the size of this plane.
It was much bigger than I expected.
The elegant lines of this plane makes it look smaller.

Thanks very much.
It is a little bigger than I remember.
Cheers,
Alistair

Must be karma, but I just bought decals to spruce up a 1/72 Airfix Lysander built (CBI theater markings)! This looks great - I don't know what I'll face in the Airfix build other than sanding off some raised lines and rescribing.

Thanks very much Greg,
Can't help much with the Airfix kit as it must be about 50 years since I built it.
It'll probably fit together with less work than this one though.
Cheers,
Alistair
