1/48 Hobby Boss ME-262 b-1a/u1 Night Fighter

September 15, 2021 · in Aviation · · 7 · 1.6K

A great kit. Went together without any issues. Appears to be a well researched and accurate kit.
Added some air to air missiles. I know, there is no evidence to support these missiles on the aircraft. I had some left over and thought they would look cool hanging on the wing.
Only a few photos and internet sources to suggest the paint scheme. Some colors I guessed at. FWIW, the kit paint schemes dont match what few photos are available online.
Enjoy!

  3. Beautiful job, Chuck @chuckbrumm
Currently building a Hobby Boss 262 myself, single seater, and the fitting is nice indeed.
Likely yours is moreless of the same molding.
Your paintwork is great and could very well be true.
    Well done.

  4. You can label this a “Luft 46” edition 🙂
A very striking camouflage, it really makes your two seater pops out of the crowd

  5. Good looking 262 - I like that scheme, especially the fuselage pattern. Well done.

  6. I really like the Me-262 and have built a few myself. Yours looks great, and I think the missles just make it look a little more menacing. Nice to know it was a good fitting kit, I built the Night Fighter version by Dragon and found it to be ill fitting. By the way I like your color scheme, also.
