It’s a Mk1a Spitfire!
For anyone awaiting the news from Kotare Models (the old Wingnuts crew) - here it is:
Fittingly announced on Battle of Britain Day - a 1/32 Mk1a Spitfire!
Not a World War 1 Subject and not a WNW hangover!
Equally fittingly the box art shows Al Deere’s 54 Sqn ‘Kiwi’! I’m sure there will be plenty of options.
The first BoB era Mk1 in 1/32 since 1967!
Roll on 2022!

Logical choice. Make some comfort food and a old standard.

Smart move, it will sell.

It might not be the WNW of old, but every model company knows that Spits, Emils, Gustavs, Zekes, 'sairs, T-bolts and 'Stangs sell as they no longer have access to more Lord of the Rings money to make the obscure or the WW1 kits.
I hope these sell well and to see what other kits they bring to market using that Spitfire money.

These dudes make magic. I'm sure it will be a sell-out.

Excellent plan to start with this kit. Given the lack of a modern tooled 1/32 Spitfire Mk. I, this should sell like crazy and set the new company up well. But after the Spit, might they perhaps show a little love for the good old Hurricane? Please?

We need a new state-of-art Spitfire Mk.I, please continue then with higher marks as well!
