1/72 Italeri β KA-6D Intruder
Well, I gave word not to do any other Italeri kit, but...
I got this kit on scale model competition and I did it as a joy build, but with much, much putty, bad fit, holes...
I finished it in a matter of few days with a little bit scratching on air brakes, drilled them, cockpit and wheel wells.
The model is painted with acrylics, weatherd with few grey shades and weathered with Abteilung 502 oils, so thi is it, Intruder π
Cheers, stay safe π
This is a fine looking Intruder, Djordje @sheol
No signs that you had to work with a lot of putty.
Paintwork is awesome and the build looks much bigger than a 1/72
Thank You John, I did a loooot of sanding π
Really nice Intruder Djordje, awesome weathering and shading with the oils!
Thank You!
I found that Oils are the best for the weathering π
Looks great! I did Fujimi's awhile back and it wasn't putty less either, looks like the Italeri has a little more detail.
Outcome on Italeri can be great, but I hate their effort to do the bad fitting parts π
Amazing build, Djordje! A great result our of the challenging old Italeri!
Thank You Spiros π
I did the best I could π
Very good! Bravo
Thank You, cheers π
I did a Revell version of this way back when, and used an entire tube of putty! This looks fantastic. I have a couple more Intruders / Prowlers to build, and am really fond of the aircraft.
Oh, old Revell is also very challenging to do, I really would like to see Your masterpiece on old Revell kit π
Great work on my favorite A-6 scheme, Djordje. I am partial to the attack versions of the Intruder but you have made the tanker bird look really sharp. I think the detail painting and decal work around the intakes and ladder make this small scale model really outstanding in precision. Really nice finish overall.
π ... Greetings ... π :
The A-6 Intruder has always been one of my favorite aircraft, no matter what model.
You here have done a very nice and aesthetic work on this build Djordje .
