Revell of Germany M-48 A2C 1/35
One of the ROG M-48 kits built and slightly converted into a Vietnam era A2. Finished it a few months ago, a surpisingly good kit with the mantlet face as the only weak spot.
I sharpened up the bow a bit, scratched the American style bustle rack, sanded the overdone texture and weld beads off the engine deck, grafted in the engine hatch from a Dragon leftover, and beat up the fenders a little bit.
Finished with Tamiya XF-62 OD and weathered with various AK washes. Sadly, I do not recall offhand who made the resin crew figures must be getting old.
Beautiful build, Mark @markh
You made a great entry with this armor.
Welcome to this great community.
A wonderful build, Mark!
Welcome aboard!
Nice work, your M-48 looks great! Welcome to aboard.
Thanks much guys this was a breezy, fun build in all aspects. I have to admit I did not expect much when I opened the box as I usually associate Revell with the zillions of car kits bearing the same name. Gonna have to change that preconception, me.
Regards,
Mark
@markh - whether a Revell kit is any good depends on how good the kit someone else released that they're leasing was - or how old their original molds are. When they're good they're very good, and when they are bad...
This looks very nice. I remember seeing the original somwhere...
Gotta agree with that. I've found more bad ones than good, regrettably.
You may have seen this on MSC, at one time a fine lively site which has regrettably fizzled out for some reason.

Mark
