Cold War gone hot Tamiya 1/35 Schutzenpanzer Marder
This article is part of a series:
Here's another vehicle for my Cold War gone hot series. This is the 1/35th Tamiya Marder. Sadly, this old kit is the only early version Marder available, all the others being post 1985. The kit will be depicted rushing past the M48A2GA2 as it covers the Marder as it withdraws...
As with the M48, both have been sprayed with the Revell Bundeswehr Oliv Gelb. Sadly, this only seems to be available in a pack. If Revell are going to produce specific colours, I wish they would release them individually like Humbrol did with their Authentic Colour range (boy am I showing my age now!). I think that this colour looks very close to the colour I remember from being posted to Germany and working closely with the Germans in the NSSG (Northag Signals Support Group).
Weathered alongside the M48, the sequence was just the same and again, the flash has made the weathering look much more overdone than it really is. Next will be adding mud and Camnets, the really fun part...
Nice progress also, Ian!
Again, thanks Spiros
Nice progress, Ian @ianfoulk96
Flash is in most cases not that helpful when taking picture, I full agree.
Thanks John, when it's stopped raining I'll go and take some outside photos in natural light
Nice progress Ian
Thanks Cooper
