Atlas 'Big Foot' 1/32 scale die-cast Excavator Weathering
This excavator was given to me as payment for weathering the farm die-cast models I posted not too long ago. I kept the weathering at a minimum on this 1/32 scale die-cast model. This will later go on a diorama specially built for it, which I've just finished and will post very shortly . I painted the stop blocks hanging on the front of the excavator, yellow to break up the grey color. I also painted a couple of the railings a different color than the original grey scheme. Probably wasn't necessary but I thought it would break up the monotone look of the overall model. Hope you like the results guys.

Another masterpiece of realism, Charles @tiking
Especially the close-up pictures are impressive.

Thank you John. Wouldn't really call it a masterpiece, since it is adie-cast model. But I appreciate the thought. 🙂

Another great study in weathering technique, Charles. How did you achieve the dusty residue look on the tire treads?
Charles King said on May 12, 2022
Thank you Robert. The dust residue is simply dust migments from MIG.
